The 'Orange is the New Black' star, who gave birth to her first child in November 2019, has gotten engaged to longtime boyfriend Dennis Gelin on New Year's Eve.

"I'm a 'D', her dad's a 'D', so we wanted to stay in that family, but that was not working, so we let it go," she shared.

"He was like, 'Let's open it up...' and we found it (Freeya) immediately once we opened up the name pool."

And Danielle loved the meaning behind the moniker: "It really stands for 'Free', being free, and I want her to grow up feeling that way," she said.

"It's also, like, a Nordic god that means... lady of love and beauty..."
