AceShowbiz - "Jersey Shore" star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has had two of the seven charges in his domestic violence case dropped due to a lack of evidence.
The reality TV regular was slapped with a string of counts, including domestic violence, resisting arrest, false imprisonment, and child endangerment, in October (2019) after a physical altercation with his on/off girlfriend Jen Harley.
He is accused of chasing his now-ex with a knife, while also allegedly locking her and their baby daughter Ariana in their Los Angeles rental home - allegations he denied.
Now, according to TMZ, prosecutors have dismissed charges for brandishing a weapon and criminal threats - a decision Ortiz-Magro's attorney, Scott Leemon, has applauded.
"(The) facts and circumstances relating to the arrest and charging of Ronnie were exaggerated and factually incorrect," he told the New York Post's Page Six.
"Now, after further investigation, the City's Attorney agreed with us and dismissed two of the pending charges against Ronnie. They agreed that these allegations were baseless and made up. We are hoping further investigation will yield similar results."
The news comes weeks after Ortiz-Magro was granted an emergency order of protection against Harley, who he accused of attacking him while he slept in January.
