The heavily pregnant friend of the 'Bodak Yellow' hitmaker has been allowed to delay her arrest until she gives birth as she has been charged for her alleged involvement with a violent Bloods street gang.

AceShowbiz - Cardi B's best friend Star Brim is facing serious legal issues while awaiting the arrival of her child. The heavily pregnant friend of the "I Like It" rapper was one of 18 defendants named in an indictment of gang members in the Southern District of New York on Tuesday, February 18.

Star, whose real name is Yonette Respass, is accused of being the highest ranking female member of a violent Bloods street gang, the 5-9 Brims. She has been charged with slashing a person and participating in a racketeering conspiracy.

"The 5-9 Brims is a violent criminal organization that has terrorized residents of Brooklyn and Queens by committing brutal acts of violence in public places, trafficking narcotics on the streets and defrauding victims through financial schemes," United States Attorney Donoghue stated.

The indictment alleges these gang members had been feuding with a rival faction of the gang called the "Real Ryte," with some of the defendants either participating in or conspiring in the murder of rival members. Star is additionally accused of orchestrating an attack at Angels night club in Flushing, Queens in August 2018.

Star, who was behind bars at the time, allegedly ordered her subordinates to carry out the assault "because members of the enterprise believed the bartenders had disrespected another member of the gang." Cardi was present at the bar during the attack, which was reported to have stemmed from an allegation that one of the two bartender sisters was having an affair with the Bronx femcee's husband Offset.

Cardi did not physically participate in the attack, but her crew threw chairs and bottles at the sisters, who sustained serious injuries. On June 21, 2019, the hip-hop star was indicted on 14 charges, including two counts of felony assault with intent to cause serious physical injury, stemming from the incident. She was arraigned on June 25 and pleaded not guilty on all charges.

While many of the 5-9 Brims gang members have been arrested, Star herself has been allowed to delay her arrest until she gives birth to her baby. Prosecutors say they are in discussions with her attorney regarding a time and date for self-surrender.
