The 'Wrecking Ball' hitmaker and the 'Midway' actor have joined the rock band's guitarist Robby Krieger onstage at The Sunset Marquis in Los Angeles for the milestone celebration.

AceShowbiz - Miley Cyrus and Dennis Quaid joined The Doors legend Robby Krieger onstage on Saturday, February 08 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the band's iconic album, "Morrison Hotel".

The stars gathered at The Sunset Marquis in Los Angeles to fete the project on the eve of its half-centennial at a party co-hosted by fashion designer John Varvatos, where Krieger and the Tangiers Blues Band performed with a host of special guests.

Cyrus made an unannounced appearance, alongside producer Andrew Watt, to cover "Roadhouse Blues", while they also delivered a rendition of "Back Door Man".

British musicians The Struts shared their take on "Riders on the Storm", and Quaid rocked out to "L.A. Woman", while other performers included Gary Clark Jr., Michael Bolton, and the Eagles of Death Metal.

The bash also marked the 20th anniversary of Los Angeles' Morrison Hotel Gallery, where photographer Henry Diltz captured the famed 1969 image of "The Doors", which would become the cover artwork for the groundbreaking 1970 album.

Venue bosses paid tribute to the occasion by launching a new exhibit featuring rare outtakes from the impromptu photo session.
