Benjamin Bratt who previously played Jonathan Pangborn in the Benedict Cumberbatch-starring Marvel movie has been signed on for an upcoming adaptation of DC Comics.

AceShowbiz - Benjamin Bratt is returning to the comic world as the star of the DC Comics adaptation "DMZ", alongside Rosario Dawson.

The actor will headline the series for HBO Max, playing the role of Parco Delgado in the show, to be produced by Ava DuVernay.

Written and executive produced by showrunner Roberto Patino, DMZ is set in the near future, when America is plagued by a brutal civil war and the borough of Manhattan in New York City is a demilitarised zone, isolated from the rest of the country.

Dawson stars as a medic named Alma Ortega, who is desperately searching for her lost son while Bratt's Parco is the leader of one of the most powerful gangs in the DMZ. He previously joined the world of comic book adaptions for "Doctor Strange", starring alongside Benedict Cumberbatch in the 2016 film.
