Vanessa Minnillo insists she didn't lie when she is criticized for saying she never sends any gifts to her husband's former wife despite Jessica Simpson's claims otherwise.

AceShowbiz - Nick Lachey's wife Vanessa Minnillo has hit back at a fan who called her out for the "super awkward" moment in an interview when she denied sending her husband's ex-wife Jessica Simpson a gift.
The incident came when Vanessa and Nick sat down for a chat with "Today" hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush earlier this week when they were asked about Jessica's new book.
At one point, Hoda revealed Simpson told her that she and Vanessa are on such good terms, the Lacheys once sent her a gift - a boast the actress quickly shot down.
"I don't even have her address!" Vanessa said.
The moment quickly went viral, and led to actress Vanessa finding herself targeted by numerous Jessica fans on social media, including one who wrote, "Anyone else catch @VanessaLachey deny doing something nice for @JessicaSimpson on the today show? I feel like that was 10000 per cent not necessary... and super awkward."
Unwilling to accept that criticism, Vanessa responded, "Should I have pretended to give it? Dang. Can we get a do over and I will tell them it was big beautiful basket. (winking emoji) Kidding, sorry you think that, just wanted to be truthful. That’s all. But the gift sounds lovely!"
She later added, "Truly... I think it's weird accepting credit for something you didn't do or give. Even weirder to bring up something so random. Just giving facts. Wanted to make sure we were truthful."
