AceShowbiz - Meghan Markle's dad Thomas Markle is pressuring her and husband Prince Harry into contacting him as soon as possible. Speaking to "Good Morning Britain" on Monday, January 27, Thomas revealed his plan on giving monthly interviews until the Duke and Duchess of Sussex end their silent treatment against him.

"I pretty much will give an interview and wait for 30 days for some kinda answer back. If I don't get one back, then I'll try another interview. That's about the only shot I have," the retired lighting director said. "After this interview, if I don't hear from someone in 30 days, then I will try again. I don't want to sit in silence in my living room for the rest of my life waiting for someone to get back to me."

"I've spoken and sent letters to Doria to get to Meghan as well, and that hasn't happened. So no, I'm at their mercy," he added.

Also in the interview, Thomas said that he was embarassed by Meghan and Harry's decision to step down as "senior" royal members, adding that he didn't "think that [Meghan] is being bullied in any way or any shape because of racism."

"What they decided to do, that was, to me, embarrassing. I think when they got married they married into royalty and they knew what they are getting themselves into. ... I think they've hurt the queen. I think they've hurt the royals - and it just doesn't work to be going to another country and serving England. It's never going to work. I'm a little embarrassed for them and feeling really sorry for the Queen," he continued saying.

Following the interview, viewers quickly blasted both "Good Morning Britain" and Thomas, saying that the ITV programme only added fuel to the fire. "Thomas Markle - 'This is a family problem and should be solved as a family'. Also Thomas Markle - goes on national tv and makes a documentary about all the private details," one Twitter user wrote.

"So bored of Thomas Markle and his 'exclusive' interviews. Everytime she does something you get 'Thomas Markle gives his first interview since…..' No wonder he can't build a relationship with her he's trying to cash in at every chance he gets. The whole thing is boring," one other added.

"Families ghost family members all the time. Shame on you GMB giving Thomas Markle a forum again. Just leave it," read another tweet. Someone else, meanwhile, chimed in, "Thomas Markle… All these issues should be talked about and resolved privately within the family… Yet here he is sat on national tv giving his opinion on everything he possibly can about Harry and Meghan and the royal family and the media."
