AceShowbiz - Conor McGregor has set internet abuzz with his tweet. The UFC star recently posted raving tweet about President Donald Trump and his post has garnered mixed response from social media users.

It began when the U.S. President took to Twitter on Monday, January 20 to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day by highlighting the milestone of his presidency. "It was exactly three years ago today, January 20, 2017, that I was sworn into office," he wrote. "So appropriate that today is also MLK jr DAY. African-American Unemployment is the LOWEST in the history of our Country, by far. Also, best Poverty, Youth, and Employment numbers, ever. Great!"

Not long after, McGregor responded to Trump's tweet by dubbing him a "phenomenal president" and "quite possibly" the best ruler in the U.S. "Most certainly one of them anyway, as he sits atop the shoulders of many amazing giants that came before him. No easy feet. Early stages of term also. Incredible," he raved. "Congrats and Happy Martin Luther King Jr. day America."

His tweet drew numerous reactions. Ryan Fournier, a co-founder of youth group Students for Trump, agreed, "You're not wrong! Trump's killing it, and so are you!" On the other hand, Luke Ming Flanagan, a member of the European parliament who is also a fellow Irish, replied, "You're a phenomenal bollocks conor."

YouTube vlogger Lauren Chen mocked those who denounced the mixed martial artist because of his tweet about Trump, "Conor McGregor has: Smashed a man's phone; Punched an old man; Threw a dolly at a bus; sending people to the hospital. But there are people in the replies saying supporting Trump is why they'll no longer be fans. Good to know what their standards of acceptable behavior are."

Meanwhile, Trump has returned the favor, writing directly to McGregor, "Congratulations on your big @UFC WIN!" He referred to the 31-year-old athlete's victory against Donald Cerrone when he beat the Cowboy at the UFC 246 event in Las Vegas.
