AceShowbiz - Zayn Malik has donated $13,000 towards the treatment for five-year-old cancer sufferer Caitlin Robinson.

The former One Direction star made the generous donation on her GoFundMe page, after local paper the Burnley Express reported Robinson's mother Helen had started the fundraising efforts in a bid to get Caitlin to Barcelona to have potentially life-saving treatment.

Caitlin was diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroblastoma in April 2019, and has "undergone several rounds of chemotherapy" and Radioactive iodine MIBG treatment but all have been unsuccessful, her mother wrote on the GoFundMe page.

Zayn opted against leaving a message with his donation, but originally hails from Bradford, West Yorkshire - just 30 minutes away from Caitlin's home of Burnley.
