AceShowbiz - Laura Dern has laughed off online gossip she's "dating" Baby Yoda, after bumping into "The Mandalorian" character at a recent basketball game.
Asked if she likes Baby Yoda at the Gotham Awards last month (December 2019), Dern mentioned that she had seen the character at a basketball game - which prompted some hilarious discussions on social media.
And when the 52-year-old Golden Globe winner sat down for a chat on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" on Friday, January 10, she joked that when it comes to stars in the spotlight, "people wanna wonder" about potential romances.
"I'm just gonna say this, because we've been in this business a long time now," Laura teased. "There can be a frenzy when people are friends, or have some kind of relationship, and people wanna wonder, you know? Project their own opinions."
While the "Star Wars" spin-off character is dubbed a "baby", he is actually a 50-year-old tiny alien - and the "Little Women (2019)" actress quipped he has plenty of the characteristics she looks for in a man.
"I said to my friends, 'The next man I'm going to be with, I want him to be incredibly wise, great sense of humour. I don't mind being the taller one'," she laughed. "I didn't mention green, but somehow... you never know what you're gonna get."
The star added: "Oh my God, those eyes. I can't tell you. When you say, 'I want you to look into my eyes forever,' he's definitely going to be doing that."
