AceShowbiz - Rob Lowe was instructed by Netflix not to tell anybody that his "stupid Christmas elephant movie" was watched more than Martin Scorsese's "The Irishman".
The 55-year-old actor starred opposite Kristin Davis in "Holiday in the Wild", about a woman called Kate who embarks on a second solo honeymoon after the end of her marriage. Rob starred as pilot Derek, who nurses an elephant back to health with Kate, in the film - which became a huge hit for the streaming service.
In an interview as he promoted his TV show "911: Lone Star", Rob told People that the movie actually became the number one film for Netflix over the holidays - beating even Scorsese's mob drama.
"I just did a movie for Netflix, it was the number one movie that they have," he grinned. "It was a stupid Christmas elephant movie. Take that Martin Scorsese. They were like don’t tell anybody."
"Anyway, I will work wherever the opportunities come from."
