The 'Big Little Lies' actress and her country singer husband have donated $500K to help the victims and those affected by the devastating bushfire in Australia.

AceShowbiz - Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have donated $500,000 to help those in Australia affected by bushfires ravaging the country, after claiming their family home is "under threat."

The "Big Little Lies" actress and country music superstar took to Instagram on Saturday, January 4, 2020 to announce that they would be donating half a million dollars on behalf of their family to Rural Fire Services.

"Our family’s support, thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by the fires all over Australia. We are donating $500,000 to the Rural Fire Services who are all doing and giving so much right now" Kidman wrote alongside her post, which showed a list of other organisations people can help.

Urban went on to share the same message, but with a different list.

The donation comes after a report indicated that the couple's home in Australia had burned down. While a representative for Kidman quickly denied the claim, she confirmed to Entertainment Tonight, "It is under threat, so keeping a close eye on it."

While attending the Saturday's Gold Meets Golden event in Los Angeles, Kidman reportedly apologised to reporters as she became visibly upset, confessing she was "so distracted by what's happening in Australia."

When WENN went to press, the national bushfire death toll reached 23, with more than 1,500 homes destroyed in blazes this season across New South Wales and Victoria.
