The 'Deepwater Horizon' actress shares tips to lose weight as she is not impressed by her weight gain after indulging over Christmas and New Year holidays.

AceShowbiz - Kate Hudson was left unimpressed when she finally got on the scales after indulging over the holiday period.

The 40-year-old actress is one of the faces of diet plan WW USA, and frequently shares tips and recipes on her social media pages. But in a post on Thursday, January 2, 2020, the "Bride Wars" star admitted it was time to get back on track after letting herself go somewhat over Christmas and New Year.

"It's January second, 2020," Kate said in a video on her Instagram Stories. "I got on the scale - I wasn't impressed. But that's OK because I know how to do this."

She then shared a clip of herself on the scales, weighing in at 135.9 lbs.

"So, post holiday, I'm basically 136... I always round up," she wrote over the scales snap. "Ideal weight for me (is) 125. I'm gonna say 3-5lbs is mostly water and I'm a muscular frame so I weigh more even though I'm lean. Important for people to understand that! Weight in muscle is a happy number!"

Kate then shared an example of her daily diet plan, explaining that she starts her day with black coffee and celery juice, both of which are zero points on the WW USA diet plan. For lunch, she had shrimp cooked with sherry vinegar and garlic, for zero points, and later exercised for 30 minutes.

The screen star previously credited following the WW USA plan for helping her get back into shape following the birth of her daughter Rani in October 2018.
