In an Instagram post marking the new year, Trace Cyrus is thankful for his sister Miley who has been there for him after he recently called off his engagement.

AceShowbiz - Miley Cyrus' brother is back on the market. Just two days after ringing in 2020, Trace Cyrus makes public the fact that he is single again, revealing that his engagement to fiancee Taylor Lauren Sanders has been called off.

In his first Instagram post of the new year, the 30-year-old musician put out a selfie he took with his "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker sister. Along with it, he confided, "Some of u might already know but I'm recently single & extremely thankful to have my family around me during this time." He added, "I've just been feeling so blessed lately!"

The son of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus went on to express his gratitude towards Miley. "Thank u @mileycyrus for always being there for me," he gushed. "Love you sooo much sissy!" His post caught the attention of his younger sister who simply replied back in the comment section, "BFF." To which, he responded, "you're the coooolest."

Miley Cyrus responded to her brother's post.

Trace announced that he has gotten engaged to Taylor back in early December 2018. At the time, he shared on his social media account a video of the diamond ring he gave her. "Well… It's official! SHE SAID YES! We're getting married! I will love you FOREVER!!! @taylorlaurensanders," he captioned the the now-deleted clip.

This was not Trace's first broken engagement. The former guitarist of Metro Station was previously betrothed to the "Suit Life On Deck" alum, Brenda Song. Back in June 2012, he confirmed they have parted ways. "Brenda and I have decided to go our separate ways," he said in a statement. "We split up a couple of months ago. We will continue to focus on our careers."

While Trace chose to look forward on the New Year, his sister Miley opted to look back at 2019. In the midst of divorce proceedings with estranged husband Liam Hemsworth, the 27-year-old singer uploaded a recap video on YouTube with a title that read, "Miley Cyrus Decade Video: 10 Years in 10 minutes".

Chronicling through the last 10 years of the "Hannah Montana" star's life, the video includes a clip from the movie she starred with Liam, "The Last Song", as well as media coverage on the ups and downs of their romance. It ended with a message signaling her keenness to move on that read, "New era starts now."
