AceShowbiz - Jennifer Lopez doesn't hold anything back when it comes to Alex Rodriguez. The Golden Globe-nominated actress for "Hustlers" enjoyed a friendly game of softball with their family over the Christmas holiday, and could not help but poke fun at her fiance's retirement status.
Sharing the "On the Floor" hitmaker's jab on Wednesday, December 25 was none other than the former MLB star himself. Along with a photo of them being in what seemed to be a serious discussion, the 44-year-old wrote what he said to her on Instagram, "Come on, Jen. I was a Gold Glove winner. Let me play some shortstop." He added that Jennifer replied simply by stating, "Key word: Was."
Apparently, Jennifer did not only mock Alex during the game, but also tried to steal his spotlight. Her sister, Lynda Lopez, posted two videos documenting the "On the Floor" hitmaker passionately playing softball. "Frame 1: My girl gets a hit off the best pitcher in the family! Frame 2: Someone is very, very competitive in the family Christmas softball game…," she dished.
Despite the jab and the competitive spirit, Jennifer and Alex were far from having a riff. On the same day, the ex-wife of Marc Anthony made use of her social media to post a picture of them sharing a kiss in front of a Christmas tree while donning matching red-and-black pajamas. "Don't need no mistletoe…" she wrote. "Merry Christmas everyone!!! I love you and wish you all the happiest most beautiful holiday ever."
The "Maid in Manhattan" star has also taken to her Instagram Story feed to share a look at Christmas Day with her family. In a post, she could be seen giving a kiss on the forehead of her 11-year-old daughter, Emme, and sharing a hug with her mother whom she lovingly dubbed "Lupinator".
Alex also offered a look at the warm moment he shared with Jennifer and her son, Max. In one of the photos he uploaded before putting out the softball post, he could be seen exchanging gift with his future-bride. In another one, he was captured holding a huge "Iron Man" glove for Max. He captioned the photos with a simple note that read, "Merry Christmas everyone."
