Noting that women are 'more than incubators,' the 'Lover' singer finds it 'a little bit rude' when someone asks young women when they're going to start a family.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift has used her voice to speak out for other young women who have not settled down. Having faced many questions about marriage and family, the "Lover" singer shared her thought on why mid-20s women should have the confidence to express their discomfort at being asked when they're going to have children.

When featured as one of four People of the Year in the latest issue of People magazine, the Grammy winner explained, "The more women are able to voice their discomfort in social situations, the more it becomes the social norm that people who ask the questions at parties like 'When are you going to start a family?' to someone as soon as they turn 25 are a little bit rude."

The recently-crowned Artist of the Decade by the AMAs further noted that while it may "take a bit" of time for others to embrace the attitude, a shift in society has already taken place. "It's good that we're allowed to say, 'Hey, just so you know, we're more than incubators'," she pointed out. "You don't have to ask that of someone just because they're in their mid-20s and they're a female."

This was not the first time Taylor was being vocal about the settling down question. Back in May, Deutsche Press-Agentur tossed a question about parenthood to the "Blank Space" hitmaker seeing that she will be turning 30 on December 13. In return, she replied, "I really do not think men are asked that question when they turn 30. So I'm not going to answer that now."

As for reaching the 30s milestone, the singer who will be seen as Bombalurina in Tom Hooper's "Cats" has previously shared what she expects of it. "I definitely plan to try and fail things in my 30s as well. But I expect that in our 30s we feel a little better of who we are," she stated. "The closer I get to it, the more I feel it happens."
