AceShowbiz - The Weeknd continues the promotion of his upcoming album with the release of "Heartless" music video. Making its way out on Tuesday, December 3, the visuals drew inspiration from 1998's "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" and was directed by Anton Tammi, while his collaborator Metro Boomin also makes an appearance in the video.

The single's drug-filled theme transcends well into the four-minute video, as The Weeknd and Metro are going on a gambling streak in the city as the two men also indulge themselves in drinking and smoking. The singer, whose real name is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, gets even higher halfway through the video, to the point where he starts imagining himself licking a frog and turning into the animal itself. Freaking out, he starts running around the city before eventually throwing up.

"Heartless" serves as the lead single for The Weeknd's forthcoming fourth studio album, which still doesn't have a title or a release date. Though it was only released last Thursday, the song managed to debut at No. 32 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart with just two days of tracking, while it launched at No. 14 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

Aside from "Heartless", The Weeknd also released the album's second single, "Blinding Lights" on November 29. Used as the song for a Mercedes Benz commercial clip, it talks about his on-and-off relationship with Bella Hadid. The Weeknd is set to debut live performance of both songs when he appears on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert".

The Weeknd first announced a new album in November last year, referring to it as "Chapter VI" during a concert in Toronto. However, it's unclear whether or not it will be the title of his new album. Details of the album are also still scarce as of now, though he has previously hinted, "Some chapters are smaller than others, not this one though..."
