The 'Hellboy' actor himself was reported to be on the set of the independent project when a truck driver failed to stop at their mark during filming in British Columbia.

AceShowbiz - A crewmember has been injured on the Canadian set of Ron Perlman's forthcoming western "The Last Victim" after a truck driver lost control of the vehicle.

The "Hellboy" star has been shooting the independent project in British Columbia, but production ground to a halt on Friday, November 29 when the incident occurred.

According to TMZ, a number of crewmembers were left running for safety after the driver mistakenly hit the gas pedal instead of the brake, and failed to stop at their mark while filming at the Okanagan Indian Band.

Sources claim one person suffered a minor foot injury during the accident, and although emergency services were called, no one was transported to hospital.

Authorities at workplace safety agency WorkSafeBC have since opened an investigation into the mishap, which reportedly took place while Perlman was on set.

Production resumed on Saturday, when filming wrapped.

Movie officials and representatives for Perlman and his co-stars Ali Larter and Ralph Ineson have yet to comment on the on-set incident.

"The Last Victim" stars Perlman as a local sheriff, and is co-written and directed by Naveen A. Chathapuram.
