AceShowbiz - No hair, no problem! Evangeline Lilly had a dramatic new look. The "Ant-Man and the Wasp" actress completely chopped off her hair and showed her transformation on Instagram. "Hello [earth]. It's a BEAUTIFUL day," she greeted her over two millions followers in one of her new posts.
Instead of going to a hair salon, the 40-year-old Marvel star did it herself at home. The brunette stunner picked up scissors and started hacking her own hair. Only halfway through later, she got someone to help her shave the rest of her tresses. "#homecut," she put the hashtag in the caption.
She drew comments from her friends and fans alike. "I love your scruffy, sweet head!!!!" commented actress Michelle Monaghan. In another post, Monaghan called her "hero." Many similar comments flooded her social media. "Go with whatever makes you happy. You will look amazing no matter what!" one wrote.
It's unclear whether or not she shaved her head for a new movie role, but she dropped by a local school with her new look. Wearing a sleeveless T-shirt, wide-legged pants, flats, and a chunky tribal necklace, she read her children's book series "The Squickerwonkers" for the Halloween fair.
Evangeline Lilly was last seen reprising her superhero role in "Avengers: Endgame". She will next appear in a drama thriller "Dreamland" which stars the likes of Armie Hammer, Gary Oldman, Michelle Rodriguez, and Luke Evans. She is also signed on for dramedy "Happy Life" which is led by Alexandra Daddario.
Meanwhile, the third installment of "Ant-Man" has just got a green light. Peyton Reed, the director of the first and second movies, was confirmed to return behind the lens for the upcoming threequel. Paul Rudd was also announced to return as the titular hero. However, there is no word yet on Lilly's onscreen character.
Before sporting a buzz haircut, Lilly rocked a pixie hair.
