Aside from having the 'Beauty and the Beast' director as its writer and helmer, 'Marley' will feature music from Oscar-winning composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz.

AceShowbiz - Filmmaker Bill Condon is set to take on a remake of classic holiday tale "A Christmas Carol".

The "Beauty and the Beast (2017)" director will return to Disney to revamp the Charles Dickens favourite, this time telling the story from the point of view of Ebenezer Scrooge's late business partner, Jacob Marley.

Condon wrote the script for "Marley (2020)", and will also direct, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Oscar-winning composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz will create the music for the new project.

Casting details have yet to be announced.
