The wrestler-turned-actor opens up about his relationship philosophy during an interview on the red carpet at the New York premiere of his new movie 'Playing With Fire'.

AceShowbiz - John Cena doesn't believe in having a "gender specific" relationship philosophy.

The wrestler-turned-actor opened up about his approach to his personal life as he made his red carpet debut with new girlfriend Shay Shariatzadeh at the premiere of his new movie "Playing With Fire" in New York on Saturday, October 26.

Asked during an interview with Entertainment Tonight if he has "game", John replied: "No. If I have a connection with someone, I believe we're defined by our actions, and how you treat them is a reflection on how you will treat them in the future."

"I think when anyone was a connection with someone, and someone says like, 'Hey, there's something here, and by the way, I appreciate who you are, I appreciate who you want to be, I appreciate how you live your life'. I don't think that's gender specific. I think that's something we all want to hear."

John, who was previously engaged to wrestler Nikki Bella, has been enjoying success in the movie industry in recent years, and will soon start shooting his role in "Fast and Furious 9". Vin Diesel announced last week that Cardi B is also set to join the cast of the latest instalment in the car racing franchise, but John is in the dark as to what her role will be.

"Cardi B is a wonderful add," he smiled. "I have no idea what she's doing. My stuff is secretive and everyone else's is as well, but I think it's a wonderful addition to the franchise. I already know the movie is going to be really phenomenal."
