The 'I'll Be Missing You' hitmaker has expressed his desire to drop his Sean John moniker back in November 2017, explaining at the time that he 'was just not who I was before.'

AceShowbiz - Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs is planning another name makeover after filing papers to legally change his moniker.

He wants to be known as Sean 'Love' Combs and he is taking steps to drop his Sean John tag.

According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, the rap mogul and entrepreneur has filed a name change petition in Los Angeles, explaining his desire to change his middle name.

The "I'll Be Missing You" hitmaker initially announced his name change plans in November, 2017, telling fans and followers in an online video posted on his birthday, "I've been praying on this and I've decided... I know it was risky cause I knew I could come off as corny to some people... I decided to change my name again.

"I'm just not who I am before... I'm something different... so my new name is love... aka brother love... I will not be answering to puffy diddy puff daddy or any of my other monikers but love or brother love, ok."

But he changed his mind a few days later, explaining he wouldn't be dropping his other nicknames and monikers.
