The 'True Blood' alum reveals on Instagram her fear of ocean which she has conquered during an exotic getaway to Mexico with her husband and their young son.

AceShowbiz - Actress Yvonne Strahovski conquered her fear of the ocean during a family vacation to Mexico.

The 37-year-old "The Handmaid's Tale" star was joined by husband Tim Loden and their one-year-old son William for a getaway to the Nobu Hotel Los Cabos, where the family enjoyed some quality time together.

In addition to relaxing by the poolside in their private cabana, enjoying an organic lunch from Malibu Farm Cabo, and taking some time to herself at the Esencia Luxury Spa, the actress also took a surfing lesson - helping her overcome her fear of the ocean.

In an Instagram post showing her walking out to sea with her surfboard, she wrote: "Seven years ago you couldn't have paid me to paddle out on my own to surf. If you had told me seven years ago that I would come to do this one day I would have laughed.

"I grew up afraid of the deep blue," she continued. "I don't know why. I never had any weird experiences growing up with it I had just always been deathly afraid."

Celebrating her success, Yvonne went on to thank those around her for helping her take the leap and step out of her comfort zone, and revealed she now has a new outlook on life.

"Conquering this fear taught me the true meaning of never say never," the Australian-born star admitted. "The true meaning of pushing through. The true meaning of get it & most importantly the power I have within myself to move forward."
