Hours after rumors of her taking her own life, the former member of Korean girlgroup f(x) is announced by her agency SM Entertainment to have passed away.

AceShowbiz - Korean star Sulli was sadly confirmed to have passed away following rumors of suicide. The former member of K-pop girlgroup f(x) died at her house Monday, October 14 in Seongnam of Gyeonggi Province.

The Seongnam Fire Station confirmed her death through a phone call, "We received the report of her death at about 3:20 P.M. She had already passed away when we arrived on scene."

Sulli's agency SM Entertainment stated, "We apologize for conveying such sad and unfortunate news. Sulli has left our side. We cannot believe the situation now and we are just filled with grief."

The company, however, refused to confirm the reports that she took her own life. "For her family who is grieving after the sudden news of her passing, we earnestly request that you refrain from writing speculative articles or spreading rumors," they explained. "We express our deep condolences."

Sulli, whose real name was Choi Jin-ri, was reportedly found lifeless by her manager. The latter went to her house to check on her after failing to contact her. She was supposed to film JTBC's "Affliction Night" when she couldn't be reached out.

Rumor has it, 25-year-old Sulli left a note that expressed her feelings before her death. She reportedly battled anxiety from internet bullying. In 2014, she did take a break from her career due to suffering from online abuse.

Earlier this year, the star confronted malicious comments about her on TV during an episode of "Reply Night". She was heavily criticized for ditching her bra. Not happy with the criticisms, she said, "I go around without a bra simply because it's comfortable."
