The 'Maleficent: Mistress of Evil' actress gives an update on her 18-year-old son after their reunion at the movie's Tokyo premiere, saying he's 'balanced in his teenage years.'

AceShowbiz - Angelina Jolie's son Maddox may be pursuing an education in a field that's not related to filmmaking, but he's following the footsteps of his mother in another way. The 18-year-old university student has got his first tattoo.

It was the 44-year-old actor/director herself who revealed her son's decision to get a body art just like her when she was met on the red carpet of "Maleficent: Mistress of Evil" premiere in London on Wednesday, October 9. Looking stunning in a custom Ralph & Russo gown, the mother of six talked about her reunion with Maddox at the Tokyo premiere of the movie. "I was happy... It was fun," she told ET of being reunited with her eldest kid.

Angie went on gushing about her son, "I'm so happy for him that [Maddox has] grown up into such a good man." She explained, "I say that 'cause he's smart and he's doing his work but he's also wild. He's balanced in his teenage years." The Academy Award-winning actress also candidly shared, "He got tattooed."

It's not clear what Maddox's tattoo is and whether he got himself inked before or after leaving for South Korea. He's currently studying biochemistry at Yonsei University in Seoul.

Angie was joined by four of her children, 14-year-old Zahara, 13-year-old Shiloh and 11-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox, at the special screening in London. "It would be quite lonely if I was doing it all by myself," she said of bringing her kids with her at red carpet events.

"It's never fun to focus on yourself anyway. When you're all taking care of each other and you're making a game out of it and being silly, it's nice for me as a mom. It's moments," she continued. "I'm also watching my kids grow up and watching my daughter put on a beautiful dress and figure out the right heels and all that mom stuff. It just means a lot."

In other news, a source says Brad Pitt has not completely mended his relationship with his son Maddox. "Maddox hasn't been receptive," a source tells Us Weekly of his mother's efforts to reconcile her son with the "Ad Astra" star. The 55-year-old actor is reportedly disappointed that he isn't getting closer to Maddox and seeing it as "a tremendous loss."

Brad, however, is looking to reconnect with his other son Pax while Maddox is away in South Korea. "With Maddox overseas, Brad is also hopeful that Pax will also be interested in reconnecting without the influence of his older brother," says the so-called insider.
