Having suffered from the condition after the arrival of her first two children, the 'Ironic' singer admits in a rambling blog post that she is once again coping with it following the birth of her third child.

AceShowbiz - Alanis Morissette is battling postpartum depression again following the birth of her third child.

The "Ironic" singer suffered from the condition after the arrival of her first two children, Ever Imrie, and Onyx Solace, two, and confessed she is struggling again following the birth of her son Winter Mercy in August, in a rambling blogpost on Sunday, October 06.

Alanis wrote that there are "many tentacles" to her experience and added she is struggling with, "sleep deprivation", "fogginess", "physical pain", "isolation", and "anxiety".

The star went on to explain that, "PPD (postpartum depression) is still a sneaky monkey with a machete-working its way through my psyche and body and days and thoughts and bloodwork levels."

The Canadian rocker went on to claim that "culture" is not set up to help new mums who suffer from the condition, and argued that things need to change to help other women like her.

She wrote: "THIS (childbirth) is where the fabric of our culture, of our world, is crafted. on physical, emotional, neurobiological, chemical, spiritual, mental, existential, practical levels. wouldn't it be cool if we treated all post partum (sic) moms and families with this awareness and honor."

Alanis shares her three kids with her husband of nine years, rapper Mario 'Souleye' Treadway.
