Witnessed by some of his famous friends, the filmmaker behind 'A Madea Family Funeral' has been presented with the 2,675th star on Hollywood Boulevard on October 1.

AceShowbiz - Kerry Washington and Idris Elba helped salute pal Tyler Perry as the actor and writer unveiled a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday, October 01.

Perry, 50, claimed the 2,675th plaque on Hollywood Boulevard and some of his famous friends were there for the ceremony.

Washington and Idris appeared in his films "Peeples" and "Daddy's Little Girls", respectively.

After the ceremony, Kerry took to Instagram and wrote: "Nobody is more deserving of this than you @tylerperry. Thank you for shining so brightly, for guiding our paths, and for creating new constellations."
