A longtime critic of the 45th President, the 'Joker' actor explains why he is convinced the businessman-turned-politician will find a way to disrupt his impeachment process.

AceShowbiz - Robert De Niro tore into Donald Trump on Sunday, September 29, calling the U.S. leader a "gangster" who may be "medically crazy."

The movie star, a longtime critic of the 45th President, is relieved U.S. politicians have chosen to launch the impeachment process against Trump over his foreign relations, but he's convinced the businessman-turned-politician will find a way to disrupt the proceedings.

"He'll say it's rigged, this or that," the 76-year-old raged. "This guy has done everything possible, much worse than I ever thought, ever. The day after he was elected I said, 'Give him a chance. You'll never know.' He is worse than I ever could have imagined."

Asked to clarify why he is so opposed to the man, De Niro continued, "I don't know. I think he's crazy in a way. Part of him is just crazy. Possibly medically, too, I'm starting to think. When I saw him out in front of the helicopter waiting to go somewhere and talking endlessly and sweating, I said, 'This guy is not even aware of what he's (doing). He should at least ask somebody for a handkerchief or something and dry himself off.' "

"We are in a moment in our lives, in this country, where this guy is like a gangster," he added. "He's come along and he's said things, done things (and) we say over and over again, 'This is terrible'... And this just just keeps going on and on without being stopped.... We've got to get him out... This guy should not be president. Period."
