'Muppets Live Another Day', which was set to debut on the upcoming Disney+ streaming service, was poised to pick up where 1984's 'The Muppets Take Manhattan' left off.

AceShowbiz - Disney's plans for a reboot of "The Muppets" with creators Josh Gad, Adam Horowitz, and Eddy Kitsis have been cancelled.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, plans for the scripted series, titled "Muppets Live Another Day", were scrapped over "creative differences amid an executive change" at the Muppets Studios.
The series, which was set to debut on the upcoming Disney+ streaming service, was to pick up where 1984's "The Muppets Take Manhattan" left off, as Kermit attempts to bring the gang back together to help locate their missing pal Rowlf.
However, the eight-episode limited series was scrapped when incoming studio vice president David Lightbody had different plans for the franchise, causing Gad to withdraw his script. The split was reportedly "amicable."
The unscripted series "Muppets Now" will still be going forward when Disney+ launches on 12 November.
