Racking up 867,000 album units in its first week, the singer's latest release becomes the biggest single week for any album since her 2017 album 'Reputation'.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift is taking over the chart by storm once again. Her latest release, "Lover", arrives at No. 1 on Billboard 200. Released on August 23 through Republic Records, the album sold 867,000 equivalent album units, including 679,000 in traditional album sales, in the week ending August 29, according to Nielsen Music.

With that, "Lover" officially becomes the biggest single week for any album since her "Reputation" that debuted with 1.238 million equivalent album units back in 2017. Her latest release's traditional sales also marks the largest sales for any album since "Reputation" arrived with 1.216 million sold. Furthermore, "Lover" helps her become the first female singer to have six different albums each sell at least 500,000 copies in a single week.

Not stopping there, "Lover" marks the second-biggest streaming week ever for an album by a woman or a pop album with 175,000 SEA units, which equates to 226 million on-demand audio streams. The album is just behind Ariana Grande's "Thank U, Next" that entered with 228,000 SEA units, which equaled to 307 million on-demand audio streams. As for her personal record, "Lover" is her sixth No. 1 album and fifth this decade. She ties with Lady GaGa for the most No. 1 albums this decade among women.

Besides ruling the music charts in the United States, "Lover" also arrives atop the U.K. chart, earning Taylor her fourth No. 1 album in the market. It sold 53,000 combined units in the country.

Expressing her gratitude for the success of "Lover", Taylor has taken to Twitter to thank her fans for all the support. She said in a video, "I just have to say to you guys, thank you so much for one of the best weeks of my life. I can't thank you enough. Like I couldn't have imagined it going better or being more fun, and getting to meet so many of you and seeing all the things you were saying about 'Lover' online... I just love you guys, and I'm really, really, really lucky and I know it every single day. Thank you so much."

The rest of the top ten for this week's Billboard 200 has yet to be revealed.
