AceShowbiz - Marlon Brando believed some of the sexual abuse claims against the late Michael Jackson were accurate, it's been claimed in a new interview.

The King of Pop, who died in 2009, has faced a number of allegations of sexual misconduct over the years - the most recent coming from James Safechuck and Wade Robson in the HBO documentary "Leaving Neverland" earlier this year.

And speaking on his "Telephone Stories: The Trials of Michael Jackson" podcast, according to the Los Angeles Times, host Brandon Ogborn claims "The Godfather" star believed the Jackson may have abused children - after he got hold of an interview the star gave LA prosecutors on March 14, 1994.

The legendary actor was close friends with the "Thriller" hitmaker, and was a regular at his Neverland Ranch where his son Miko worked as Jackson's driver. And in the unearthed interview, which has been verified by prosecutor Lauren Weis, he recalls confronting Jackson about the allegations during one of his visits.

"I had asked him if he was a virgin and he just sort of laughed and giggled," he recalls, adding the "Bad" singer didn't like to swear and was embarrassed to talk about sex. "My impression was that he didn't want to answer because he was frightened to answer me."

Brando goes on to share that the "Billie Jean" singer burst into tears twice during the confrontation - firstly when talking about his father, and again after telling the star he had no friends of his own age.

"He was crying hard enough that... I tried to assuage him," the "Last Tango in Paris" star adds. "I tried to help him all I could."

He then tells prosecutors Jackson lived "in a completely different world" and "didn't hold real emotions", concluding: "With this mode of behaviour that's been going on, I think it's pretty reasonable to conclude that he may have had something to do with kids."

Brando died in 2004 at the age of 80.
