Wedding planner Veronica Morales claims that the 'Crazy in Love' hitmaker 'committed fraud in signing and submitting' sworn declaration that she had 'a bona fide intention' to use the name.

AceShowbiz - The battle between Beyonce Knowles and a wedding planner fighting for the name Blue Ivy has escalated - the woman is now accusing the singer of fraud.

The star, whose first child is named Blue Ivy, has been in a legal spat with Veronica Morales over her company's title since 2017 when the "Crazy in Love" hitmaker took legal action in an attempt to trademark her daughter's moniker.

According to documents obtained by The Blast, Morales now maintains Beyonce "committed fraud in signing and submitting" to the United States Patent and Trademark Office a sworn declaration that she had "a bona fide intention" to use the Blue Ivy Carter trademark in business.

Morales also alleges Beyonce has refused to turn over key documents showing how she plans to use the trademark. She also points out that the 37-year-old's husband Jay-Z previously told Vanity Fair the pair had no intention of using the name for business purposes but wanted to prevent others from profiting.

"When considered together, the admission to Vanity Fair and the refusal to respond to any discovery responses is sufficient evidence to conclude that the Applicant's intent all along is exactly what Jay-Z said: to use trademark applications to prevent others from using name of their daughter. This is fraud...."

The two are currently set to head to trial over the dispute.

The disagreement turned particularly nasty last year when Beyonce accused the wedding planner of offering to sell the singer her company for $10 million (£7.7 million).

Veronica denies the allegation and has accused Beyonce of lying and opposing her in an attempt to deflect to Morales "the very abhorrent methods that Ms. Carter herself and her attorneys have pursued in this case from the onset."
