Her statement during the 2019 MTV VMAs red carpet is vague, but it seems like she does refer to the moment when Kanye abruptly went on stage to snatch her mic while she was doing her acceptance speech in 2009.

AceShowbiz - It's been 10 years after Kanye West infamously interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards for winning Best Female Video, but it seems like it isn't long enough for Taylor to forget the embarrassment she'd suffered. It appeared that the "Lover" singer shaded the rapper during a red carpet interview ahead of the 2019 MTV VMAs which took place on August 26.

When asked by Terrence J about her afterparty plans, Taylor responded by saying that she wasn't sure about it since the award-giving event was unpredictable. "You never know what can happen on this show, as I've learned," the star, who took home two Moon Persons later that night, said. "But we're just probably going to figure out a way to celebrate anyway."

Her statement was vague, but it seemed like she did refer to the moment when Kanye abruptly went on stage to snatch her mic while she was doing her acceptance speech in 2009. "Yo, Taylor. I'm really happy for you. I'mma let you finish. But Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time!" the "Gold Digger" rapper said at the time, suggesting that Beyonce Knowles' "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" music video should have won over Taylor's "You Belong With Me". "One of the best videos of all time!"

Recently, more details of the moment made their way out online. During his interview with Billboard earlier this month, former president of Viacom Media Networks and Logo Group Van Toffler shared that she spotted Beyonce crying in the backstage after the incident.

"I walk behind the stage -- and sure enough there is Beyonce and her dad, and she is crying," Toffler recalled the emotional moment. "She was like, 'I didn’t know this was going to happen, I feel so bad for her.' "

Additionally, former senior correspondent for MTV News James Montgomery added that Pink confronted Kanye over his action towards Taylor, who was only 19 years old at the time. "I wasn't close enough to hear the conversation, but she was pointing in his face and nodding her head back and forth, and giving him her two cents about how f***ed up this was and then stormed off," Montgomery explained.
