After Leolah Brown claimed on social media that her brother had been hit by a car over the weekend, the 'Every Little Step' singer comes out through his attorney to set the record straight.

AceShowbiz - Bobby Brown has cleared up reports he's in the hospital recovering from a car accident, insisting his sister is circulating "fake news".

Leolah Brown claimed her brother was involved in a hit and run accident over the weekend, but the singer's lawyer has dismissed the drama.

"There are reports circulating that Bobby Brown was hit by a car over the weekend and substantially injured both his legs," attorney Christopher Brown tells The Blast. "The reports are false and Bobby Brown was in Los Angeles enjoying time with his family this weekend."

"Mr. Brown was not struck by a vehicle over the weekend and statements from Leolah Brown to the contrary are fake news."

Leolah released a statement via social media, claiming he had been hit by a speeding car.

"NO he was NOT in a car accident! This car CAME STRAIGHT FOR HIM & TRIED TO DAM KILL HIM (sic)," she wrote. "Broke his bones! BOTH his legs are messed up! And whoevers (sic) saying he was inside of a car IS A DAM LIAR! My brother was WALKING down the street AND A CAR CAME STRAIGHT FOR HIM!!!"

It's not clear why Leolah offered up incorrect information about an accident that never happened.
