The actress, who starred as Erin Walton on "The Waltons" from 1971 until 1981, told Fox News in 2016 that she suffered from the side effect of her plastic surgery for years before she knew that it contributed to her physical decline. "I got very, very sick… My implants ruptured and disintegrated in my chest. I was sick for 10 years and no one knew what was wrong with me," she shared. In 1994, she had the implants removed, though it was not an easy decision for her. "[But] once I had my implants removed, I started to get better… I'm way healthier than I was in my 30s… The further I get from those implants, the better I get," she shared.
