Facing a five-week trial planned to start September 9 over accusations of decades-old sexual assaults, the disgraced producer is set to back in court on August 26 for a new indictment.

AceShowbiz - Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein is scheduled to be arraigned next week (beg August 26), ahead of his upcoming criminal trial.

The disgraced producer will be back in court on Monday for a new indictment, a spokesman for the Manhattan District Attorney said on Thursday.

D.A. Cyrus Vance's team has accused Weinstein of sexually assaulting two women, in 2006 and 2013.

Damon Cheronis, the producer's lawyer, has confirmed Weinstein will be in court on Monday, adding, "He'll enter a plea of not guilty, because he is not guilty."

Weinstein is facing a five-week trial, which is set to begin on 9 September, but that date could change if prosecutors' request to call one of his alleged rape victims, actress Annabella Sciorra, as a key witness is granted.

The 67-year-old producer has pleaded not guilty to five criminal charges in an earlier indictment. These include rape and predatory sexual assault.

He could spend the rest of his life behind bars if convicted.

More than 70 women have accused Weinstein of decades-old sexual misconduct, but he has denied the allegations and maintains any sexual encounters were consensual.
