Even though the former 'Teen Mom OG' star has yet to respond to the backlash, she has defended her decision to let her daughter wear makeup during a red carpet interview at the event.

AceShowbiz - Farrah Abraham might be putting too much makeup on daughter Sophia when they attended Beautycon LA this year. Instead of receiving praises, the former "Teen Mom OG" star drew ire for putting heavy makeup on the 10-year-old girl.

For their red carpet appearances, the mother-daughter duo opted for bright looks with Farrah wearing a shimmering gold jumpsuit that featured feathers on its sleeves. Meanwhile, Sophia chose to go with adorable sequined outfit that she teamed with leopard-print heels. As for her hairstyle, the little girl styled her hair in a high ponytail.

The two of them might think that their fashion was awesome, but Internet users had a totally different opinion about that. "2 clowns. Absolutely HORRIBLE fashion choices. Both look desperate and absolutely ridiculous. You're grasping to be relevant. Jigsaw," one said. Many others blasted Farrah for making her daughter wear heavy makeup. "Too much makeup on Sophia. It just looks like over kill," someone noted.

Another individual added, "Good lord what did you do to your daughter. Poor thing." One other felt "sorry for Sophia" because her reality TV star mother "has ruined this child for a dollar." One person said that the kid's makeup made her "look older" than Farrah, while a user said, "It's actually sad cuz you two look like a terrible sideshow circus act." There was also one who tried to be a little bit nicer by saying, "Farrah please don't do Sophia's makeup like that not trying to be mean but it's not cute at all."

Farrah has yet to respond to the backlash, though she defended her decision to let Sophia wear makeup during a red carpet interview with HollywoodLife.com at the event. "I would hope that Sophia can express herself however she wants in a safe and happy place," she said. "She doesn't need to feel ashamed for wearing makeup at any age. It's normal, it's healthy, it's beautiful, it's great."

"It's a good time to teach her about cleaning her face and good skincare with it, which I really love. As a mom, I just want to set her up for success," she continued, before stressing that she doesn't "have time for those haters."
