In a recent interview, the 24-year-old rapper explained that the 'Megatron' femcee recorded her verse right after they held an Instagram Live session together.

AceShowbiz - Inspired by her viral catchphrase, Megan Thee Stallion has unleashed her highly-anticipation song "Hot Girl Summer" to your listening pleasure. Released on Thursday, August 7, the new summer anthem sis produced by Juicy J and features Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign.

Beginning with the opening lines of City Girls' "Act Up", the track finds Ty Dolla singing in the chorus as the two female emcees trading fun and cocky verses. "When we say it's Hot Girl Summer, we ain't talkin' 'bout degrees," Nicki raps, before Megan comes with her own verses, "I gotta break up with my n***a every season/ Real hot girl s**t, ayy, I got one or two baes."

The song ends with Megan and Nicki joining forces for one last verse. "Got a whole of options 'cause you know a b***h poppin'/ Whole lot of options 'cause you know a b***h poppin'," they spit. "I'm a hot girl so you know ain't s**t stoppin'."

Megan first teased the song last month, before announcing that the song would be released on August 2. However, she ended up delaying the release to add Nicki's verse. The 24-year-old rapper explained how their collaboration came to happen during an interview with E! News. "We just went live together and she literally recorded her verse that night," she said. "They sent the song to me and I was like, 'This is not real life. Y'all are playing right now."

Gushing over the "Anaconda" rapper's verse, Megan said, "I love it. It was amazing. I can't believe she did it so fast."

Elsewhere in the interview, Megan dished on the musicians that she'd like to collaborate with. Besides Cardi B, she confessed to wanting to team up with Rihanna. "I definitely wanna collab with Rihanna," she noted. "That's next on my bucket list. The Bad Gal and the Hot Girl? That would be crazy."
