In an interview for Cosmopolitan, the 'Fancy' hitmaker reveals she sought professional counselling since her management team 'just didn't want her to f**k up her own life.'

AceShowbiz - Rapper Iggy Azalea entered a mental health retreat two years ago after her manager persuaded her to get some help.

The "Fancy" hitmaker reveals those overseeing her career were concerned she was losing her mind and encouraged her to seek professional counselling.

"They just didn't want me to f**k up my own life, basically...," the 29-year-old tells Cosmopolitan. "I just couldn't get out of functioning at this insanity level, where you're like, 'Whoa, hold on, don't operate the vehicle'. The whole thing was very overwhelming."

Iggy didn't offer up any more details of her mental break, but admits it prompted her comeback and made her stronger than ever.

"You get as many shots as you are able to persevere for in life, no matter what you do (sic)," she adds. "You get as many chances as you're willing to sit there and f**king really fight for it tooth and nail. And I'm not going to stop fighting for a second chance until somebody f**king gives me one, and then I'm not going to f**k it up."

Unfortunately for Azalea, the reviews of her comeback album, "In My Defense", were less than positive upon its release last month (July 2019) - it received a disappointing 39 out of 100 on review aggregator Metacritic.
