Kang Daniel's agency KONNECT Entertainment and Jihyo's label JYP Entertainment confirm their dating reports after she was caught visiting his place several times.

AceShowbiz - Kang Daniel and TWICE's Jihyo are officially an item. Their agencies have released a statement each, confirming their relationship after reports emerged that they have been dating since the beginning of the year.

JYP Entertainment, which represents Jihyo, states, "Jihyo and Kang Daniel are currently meeting with good feelings for each other." Meanwhile, Kang Daniel's agency KONNECT Entertainment says in its own statement, "Hello, this is KONNECT Entertainment. First, we would like to apologize for our official position being late, due to us confirming the truth. We can confirm Kang Daniel and Jihyo are currently meeting with good feelings. Please watch over them well."

Dispatch was the first to break the dating news. According to the South Korean news agency, Kang Daniel and Jihyo were seen on a date in the neighborhood of Hannam in Seoul on August 1. A source close to the two idols reportedly said, "An [idol] sunbae close to Kang Daniel and Jihyo introduced the two to each other."

The site further reported that the former Wanna One member and the "Cheer Up" singer meet up at least once a week. The two live within the neighborhood's UN Village and their main meeting place is said to be Kang Daniel's highly secure residence.

The news agency obtained photos of Jihyo arriving at Kang Daniel's home. She reportedly drove there in her own car. On another occasion, one of Jihyo's group mates gave her a ride to Kang Daniel's place and later returned to pick her up.

They allegedly also met the day before the 22-year-old girl group member flew out of the country for TWICE's world tour and the day after she returned to Korea. Jihyo additionally cheered Kang Daniel after his solo debut showcase on July 25 by visiting his place.

Kang Daniel debuted as a member of Wanna One in 2017 after finishing first in "Produce 101" season 2. Following the group's disbandment in January this year, he prepared for his solo debut. However, his activities were suspended due to legal dispute with his new agency LM Entertainment. He eventually established his own agency Konnect Entertainment and made his solo debut last month.

As for Jihyo, she debuted as a member of nine-piece girl group TWICE in 2015. The group has had many hits, including "TT", "Signal" and "Heart Shaker". They're currently on their "Twicelights" world tour, which will run until February 2020. TWICE's dating ban of 3 years ended at the beginning of 2019, allowing the members to pursue their own personal relationships if they chose to do so.
