Urging fans to pray for the victims of the two deadly massacres and their family, the 'Coal Miner's Daughter' hitmaker emphasizes in a statement that the hatred has to stop.

AceShowbiz - Country music icon Loretta Lynn has urged her fans to pray for the victims of America's two deadly mass shooting horrors in Texas and Ohio.

Almost 30 people were killed in the two separate tragedies in an El Paso Walmart and a Dayton shopping district within 24 hours of each other, bringing America's mass shooting incidents to a sobering 250 for the year so far.

The nation was still reeling from the attack in Texas, during which 20 people lost their lives, when a gunman slaughtered another nine people in Dayton with an assault rifle.

Reacting to the double dose of hatred, Loretta took to her Facebook page on Sunday (August 04) with a powerful and thoughtful message for her fans.

"It's too much for any heart," she began. "I think of the mommas, the husbands, the wives, the children. I've crisscrossed this country singing. I've been to the big cities and the tiniest county fairs in America. In every place, I saw her goodness and her beautiful people. I love them all. This hatred isn't us. It has to stop. Let's pray for El Paso and Dayton and for the country I love with all my heart."

On Saturday, prior to the shooting in Ohio, Lynn addressed the Texas shooting, writing: "My heart breaks for El Paso. I'm praying for all of you. I love you, El Paso!"

Hundreds of fans have responded to her posts, with some from Dayton and El Paso thanking her for thinking of them.

The weekend horrors come just a week after a gunman opened fire and killed three people and injured more than a dozen others at the Gilroy Garlic Festival in California.
