In an interview with Vanity Fair, the 'Charlie's Angels' actress opens up about her friendship with the late fashion designer, describing him as 'insanely, shockingly unpretentious.'

AceShowbiz - Kristen Stewart has opened up about her friendship with Karl Lagerfeld, calling the fashion designer "shockingly unpretentious".

The late Chanel and Fendi mogul had previously described the "Twilight" star as his "muse", after the 29-year-old fronted several campaigns for Chanel, including as the face of the Gabrielle perfume. And speaking with Vanity Fair, the "Charlie's Angels" actress was full of praise for the fashion icon, who died in February aged 85 after losing his battle against pancreatic cancer.

"It's funny how he presents – so austere and so scary. He wasn't though. He was incredibly inviting – insanely, shockingly unpretentious," she shared. "He liked what he liked because he liked it. He was a fancy motherf**ker, but it was true to him. It's almost like he sensed he was intimidating, so he was like, 'No. To have a creative heart is daunting, but let's get it beating faster and harder'."

"He was always touching you while speaking to you. He never talked at you – if he was talking to you, he was usually holding your hand," she continued. "Luckily he knew how to leave a trace. There's just a feeling that he gave me, an encouraging attaboy thing that shapes you in really profound ways."
