Although she feels the new show will do well without her, the actress famous for her portrayal of Brenda Walsh explains why she finds it important to join the cast ensemble once again.

AceShowbiz - Luke Perry's death compelled Shannen Doherty to join the cast of the "BH90210" reboot.
The actress admits she wasn't on board the project, in which the stars of the hit series revisit their past, until her former TV boyfriend passed away after suffering a stroke in March.
"I felt like it was honouring him and his memory," the 48-year-old actress told Entertainment Tonight.
Doherty, who portrayed Brenda Walsh opposite Perry's Dylan McKay on "BH90210", adds, "As his on-set family, I felt like it was an important time for all of us to come together to honour him.
"I thought it (new show, "BH90210") was going to do well with or without me, to be honest. For me, replaying Brenda was something I said I wouldn't do twice and I've replayed her now twice, so I guess I could never say I'm never going to do something again because I end up doing it".
And she admits it was good to be back among friends after Perry's death: "The first episode very much deals with it. Luke was such a sort of quiet, subtle, yet dynamic human being that he had a very strong and lasting impact on people. So, naturally, we would have to deal with it".
The new show begins in America next month.
