Aside from speaking about the possibility of him reprising his role as the blonde-haired elf, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor recalls how director Peter Jackson had predicted about the remake.

AceShowbiz - Orlando Bloom believes he's "too old" to reprise his role as Legolas in the upcoming "The Lord of the Rings" TV series.
The 40-year-old first played the blonde-haired elf in Peter Jackson's "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" in 2001, and later appeared in the final parts of the movie trilogy, "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" (2002) and "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of The King" (2003).
Orlando also continued the role in Jackson's follow-up movies, "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" (2013) and "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" a year later.
And while the new Amazon Prime show will explore new storylines set before J.R.R. Tolkien's popular novels, the actor was quick to shoot down rumours that he would be returning to the franchise.
"I haven't had any conversations about that," he told Entertainment Tonight. "It's so funny, I remember being on set with Peter (Jackson) 20 years ago now, and he was saying, 'Wouldn't it be funny to think about when they want to remake Lord of the Rings?' We were in the midst of this remarkable journey. I was like, 'It's never going to happen!'"
"Here I am working for Amazon and they're re-doing it," Bloom laughed, referencing his work on the streaming service's upcoming show "Carnival Row", with co-star Cara Delevingne.
"Look, I don't know how they're going to approach it," he continued. "I like to think of myself of ageless, but I'm not. I don't know where I would fit in now in that world. If I think you're saying there's Legolas, they probably got a 19-year-old kid ready to go."
