AceShowbiz - Jennifer Lawrence is teaming with Paolo Sorrentino for a new Mafia movie.

The director has signed on to adapt Pulitzer Prize reporter Teresa Carpenter's non-fiction crime story "Mob Girl" into a new film, and Oscar winner Lawrence will star as mob wife-turned-police informant Arlyne Brickman.

Angelina Burnett has written the screenplay and Lawrence is producing the feature alongside Sorrentino, among others.

There's a lot of buzz about Sorrentino at the moment after he created TV hit "The Young Pope", starring Jude Law.
