The actor duo, who were the driving force behind 'Good Will Hunting', are reportedly in talks to star in the adaptation of Eric Jager's book, which they will also serve as co-producers.

AceShowbiz - Longtime best friends Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are in talks to team up in front of the cameras again for Ridley Scott's new movie.

The Brit is down to direct "The Last Duel" and the "Good Will Hunting" stars are considering roles in the film after helping filmmaker and screenwriter Nicole Holofcener adapt Eric Jager's book, "The Last Duel: A True Story of Trial by Combat in Medieval France".

Damon, who starred in Scott's "The Martian", and Affleck are also co-producers on the film, which revolves around the story of two former friends, a knight and a squire, split by a rape accusation.

The king of France instructs the pair to duel to the death, adding that if the knight loses, his wife will be executed for making a false rape claim against the squire.
