AceShowbiz - Ryan Adams has vowed to return to music in his first social media posts since multiple women accused him of sexual and psychological abuse. In a report published in The New York Times in February (19), the indie rocker, 44, was accused of committing acts ranging from emotional manipulation to sexual misconduct and harassment by ex-wife Mandy Moore and singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers, among others.

The scandal caused Ryan to shelve plans for three albums and a tour, but he returned to Instagram on Friday night (19Jul19), vowing to tell "the truth" about his life, work on new music and return to touring.

After sharing a clip from "I'm Sorry and I Love You", a track from one of his abandoned albums, he wrote in another post, "I have a lot to say. I am going to. Soon. Because the truth matters. It's what matters most. I know who I am. What I am. It's time people know. Past time."

Confirming he wanted to return to music, he added, "So, soon... because it's time to get back to what I do best. I'm here for the music, for the love and for making things better." In the emotional post, he also referenced his battle with Meniere's disease, and the death of his brother Chris in 2017.

The shamed star also cryptically wrote, "Believe Women. Believe Truth. But never give up on being part of solutions, and healing," and continued, "Sometimes that peace comes from opening yourself up. That's who I want to be."

Following The New York Times report, agents from America's Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) opened an investigation into allegations he sent explicit texts to an underage fan. Adams has strenuously denied the accusations.

His ex-wife Mandy, who announced their split in 2015, accused him of being psychologically manipulative and harming her music career during their marriage. Fellow musicians Liz Phair and Karen Elson have also accused him of unspecified misconduct.
