Set to premiere on AMC in 2020, the new 10-part series itself follows 'a group of people who stumble onto a puzzle hiding behind everyday life and discover an ever-deepening mystery.'

AceShowbiz - Andre 3000 will star in a new 10-part series created by Jason Segel.

According to editors at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution the OutKast rapper has joined the cast of "Dispatches from Elsewhere", which is set to premiere on U.S. network AMC next year.

The drama, which also stars Alethea Jones as well as Segel, follows "a group of people who stumble onto a puzzle hiding behind everyday life and discover an ever-deepening mystery."

Production on the series began shooting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania earlier this week. With viral videos popping up of Andre, real name Andre Benjamin, casually strolling around the city playing the double flute.

"Forgetting Sarah Marshall" actor Segal is also scheduled to direct the series' first episode, before handing over to Jones.

The "Ms. Jackson" hitmaker has a number of film and TV credits on his resume.

He portrayed iconic rock star Jimi Hendrix in the 2013 biopic "Jimi: All Is by My Side", starred on the ABC series "American Crime" and most recently was cast in the new Claire Denis film "High Life (2019)" alongside Robert Pattinson and Juliette Binoche.

"Dispatches from Elsewhere" is expected to debut on AMC in 2020.
