The 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' alum throws shades at her former castmate in a new interview, 'I find amusing, because if she is that concerned about me three years later, I must have really impacted her life.'

AceShowbiz - It's safe to say that Kandi Burruss doesn't have any plans to restore her friendship with Phaedra Parks in the near future. "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star did not hold back when she was asked to give her response after her former castmate threw shades at her during an interview.

In an interview with Daily Mail, Phaedra responded to Kandi saying that she would not join the next season of "RHOA" if the show decided to bring Phaedra back. "I find amusing, because if she is that concerned about me three years later, I must have really impacted her life," the "Secrets of the Southern Belle" author said to the publication. "So I'm glad I touched her like that."

Instead of getting angry over the shade, it seemed like Kandi was feeling sorry for Phaedra. In a sit-down interview with PEOPLE magazine, she said of the mother of two, "I just find it very sad that she has no remorse for what she did like she didn't see anything wrong with that? I feel like if anybody did what she did to me to her sons in the future -- she would have a totally different outlook on the situation and so I think she should just rethink it."

Kandi and Phaedra fell out after the latter accused the Xscape singer and husband Todd Tucker of trying to drug Porsha Williams and take advantage of her back in 2017. This accusation led to Phaedra being fired from "RHOA". At the time Kandi shared her feelings regarding the allegation through a blog post.

Admitting to feeling "shocked, angry, disgusted," Kandi said, "I still didn't think Phaedra would go so low to tell someone that I wanted to drug them. Being an attorney, you would think she wouldn't intentionally spread defamatory false statements about someone. The sad thing was that she didn't even seem sorry for what she had done. I was thinking, 'Damn, was there a reason to hate me this much?' "

She continued, "This is too much. I'm so glad the truth finally came out and I'm glad to be able to move on from this. Thank you to everyone who remained #TeamKandi especially when others were believing the lies!"
