AceShowbiz - Whoopi Goldberg has been forced to hire a driver as her deteriorating sight prevents her from getting behind the wheel.
The "Ghost" star discussed her poor eyesight on her daytime show "The View" on Monday, July 15, revealing it has hindered her everyday life.
"I have a driver," she shared. "The reason I have a driver is because I am not allowed to drive. My sight is not good enough, people get nervous when I get behind the wheel. So, I am not allowed to really drive."
She's not alone - Dame Judi Dench also recently revealed her fading sight means she can no longer operate a vehicle.
"It was one of the most traumatic moments of my life," she told the Radio Times in June, admitting she knew it was time to give up her keys. "I just know I'll kill somebody if I get behind the wheel of a car now."
